S is for Slackass

Yep, that’s me lately. Not really accomplishing much and watching the days flow by.

Except, I have blogged every day this month (except yesterday…I missed it which is why I’m doing S tonight).

And I have kept up the exercise regime (aside from a couple days when my youngest poisoned me..long story)

And we did have a household full of people yesterday and the place, while not spotless, was presentable (if you don’t count the kids’ rooms).

And I did manage to do a little writing this week. (very little, but I thought about what I needed to write a lot)

And the kids got school done this past week (4 out of 5 days count, right? I was poisoned afterall)

I also planted a bunch of crap and found lots of objects in a couple Facebook games. (not really an accomplishment….bad writer! bad!)

The family has clean clothes and clean dishes. The animals have been fed on a regular basis and potty-ed even more frequently. The kids are also (relatively) clean and garbage is out of my kitchen and into the can outside (and if you knew the size the the bottle and can pile from last night you’d realize this was a great accomplishment).

We got some beautiful irises planted today and several berry bushes planted last week.

I read a really long book and started on a new one (I’m re-reading the Wheel of Time books)

Hmmm….I guess I haven’t slackassed as much as I thought…

Still need to do more writing, though.

PS…the sleeping cat in the pic is my Stormy. Doesn’t she look comfy?

  1. I guess slacking is relative. Sometimes we feel like a slacker, but if we actually stop and itemize the things accomplished, they actually amount to something. Of course, sometimes we stop and itemize and realize we really HAVE been slacking! πŸ™‚

On a similar note, whenever I feel as if time has passed quickly, I stop and think about everything that’s happened within the time span in question (last week, last month, last year, last 20 years). That will often make me realize that while the time seems to have passed quickly, that time has been packed with an awful lot of stuff.

I wish you every success in finding time to write, Denise! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Colin!

You’re quite right, when I look back over the events of the last month (for example) a LOT has happened. It may not have been what I wanted or planned, but that just means I was living, right? πŸ™‚
